If your flight was delayed, cancelled, or you were denied boarding, you may have legal rights under EU261. These rules apply to many flights departing from the EU or arriving in the EU on an EU airline.
When You Are Usually Covered
- Flight departs from an EU airport (any airline)
- Flight arrives in the EU on an EU-based airline
- You had a confirmed booking and checked in on time
- The disruption was within the airline's responsibility
Compensation Ranges
- €250: flights up to 1,500 km
- €400: flights between 1,500 km and 3,500 km
- €600: flights over 3,500 km (subject to delay threshold)

- Care: meals, refreshments, and communication support
- Accommodation: hotel and transport when overnight stay is required
- Re-routing: alternative flight to final destination
